Episode 210

What's My Line?: Part 2

We pick up from the last episode with Kendra and Buffy facing off. Buffy calls a truce, and they go and confirm Kendra is indeed a Slayer, called when Buffy died at the hands of the Master. Trapped in a cage from his battle with Kendra, Angel is minutes from death by sunlight when he is saved by Willy - only to be delivered to Spike.

Cordy and Xander are attacked by the Bugman Tarakan and barricade themselves in the basement. The stress of the moment leads to a quick and passionate make-out, and then, confused, they escape.

Meanwhile, Oz and Willow are getting on well but are interrupted by the third Tarakan, disguised as a policewoman, who shoots at Buffy. Oz takes a bullet in the arm, saving Willow.

The Gang then discovers that Spike means to revive Dru with a ritual that will kill Angel. Buffy opts to go directly to the church and intervene rather than taking Kendra’s suggestion and regrouping with Giles first. Doublecrossing Buffy, Willy delivers her to Spike and the Tarakans. Just as Buffy is about to be killed, Kendra and the gang storm in. A massive fight ensues. Spike goes running away with Drusilla, but Buffy hits him with a well-thrown thurible to the back of the head, and an organ comes crashing down on them. Spike and Drusilla are presumed dead.

The next day, Buffy sends Kendra home on a plane - this time, sitting with the rest of the passengers. Just as the episode fades out, we see a restored, vamped-out Drusilla emerge from the wreckage with an injured but still alive Spike!
